Amusing theme for sure, and yes, it will be nice to EATIN again, hopefully soon-ish, when it's safe for everyone, of course. NAKED has a funny clue; we don't get many streakers nowadays for some reason.Huygenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14539030936919012404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7869983234842507044.post-12117525101903238502020-05-04T17:35:36.708-04:002020-05-04T17:35:36.708-04:003:33

I tried Joke(S) in both, and almost left the O in 1D by mistake. I love the clue for 11D: Film about food? (CELLOPHANE). It would have been better as a non-QMC, but perhaps not on a Monday.Colum Amoryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15026647589873845732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7869983234842507044.post-34958911545137942182020-05-04T15:51:20.135-04:002020-05-04T15:51:20.135-04:00I guess it counts as a pang, but my reaction was m...I guess it counts as a pang, but my reaction was more of a wry "well that clue is going to look dated at a time when only some people remember a time when there was this thing called a 'restaurant' where you could eat your food AT the business."<br /><br />I was also quite struck by JESTS crossing JAPE where I tried to put in joke(s) for not one but both of them, before noticing it didn't work with the crosses and changed it.Jim Kingdonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01857308320156877253noreply@blogger.com
