Aside from that, though, things went right along.

I liked the theme all right. Clever, really.

Also - it's a super-sized weekday - 16x15!Horace Fawleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04676932991883111336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7869983234842507044.post-24770527585515254092020-04-04T10:12:17.300-04:002020-04-04T10:12:17.300-04:0019:30

Brilliant!

This took me longer than it should have. I had WITHORWITHOUTYOU and CUGAT with no crosses, but was overly cautious with a lot of other stuff, like SARA. I knew it but wasn't 100%, so I trudged through all of the crosses. I also let all of the crosses fill in GINGERED, which was increasingly obvious, yet still rather an 'it can't be' for me. Anyway, I liked the theme, which I did figure out early on because of U2, but I like it even more now.Icarusfobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01312667388878598706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7869983234842507044.post-6273091655705555752020-04-04T07:19:38.780-04:002020-04-04T07:19:38.780-04:0022:57

Yes, strange that Friday had a theme, and unfortunate that it depended on a U2 song, but I'll accept it since I have no choice. I don't know this CUGAT person, but the other people were easy enough (POE, GUS, TWITTY, SWIT, PELE (even though "football" was used in the clue)), although I never heard of the SARA Delano Roosevelt Park, so that needed crosses. Funny clue for BONER, and IWILL say no more about that. Oddly, I finished the Saturday puzzle faster than today's, but I FWOE'd on it. More about that on tomorrow's comment.Huygenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14539030936919012404noreply@blogger.com
