Fun theme and played a bit tough or normal for me with ROARK, ADLER, and some others that were beyond my knowledge base.Jim Kingdonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01857308320156877253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7869983234842507044.post-70345923455442041102017-12-15T17:44:34.019-05:002017-12-15T17:44:34.019-05:0013:24

For example, I just could not bring myself to having SW as the last two letters of an entry (NONEOFYOURBEESW).

Also, MOCK for "Pretended" was pretty tough for me.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7869983234842507044.post-62693338580752093022017-12-15T13:18:57.559-05:002017-12-15T13:18:57.559-05:0025:00

STELLAR/PARALL[AX] is my favorite theme answer, of course, although the technique's usefulness is limited due to the relatively small distances for which it's effective. Also nice that PERSONALINCOMET[AX] at least finishes up with a visible "comet." We don't take MAGI around here, but 'tis the season, I guess. However, in keeping with that spirit, BURL should have been clued with Mr. Ives. We use ANTTRAPs on a regular basis here at the YBH. Also, nice cross of TAMALES/MANO in the NW, giving us a Spanish feel up there. We make yearly use of ANTTRAPs here at the YBH, but don't generally take a MAGI, though 'tis the season, I guess. In that spirit, though, BURL should have been clued with Mr. Ives. It's better that way.

Nice insane rant on ELF. Hah!

Fun puzzle!Horace Fawleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04676932991883111336noreply@blogger.com
