I did figure out the theme before I got to the revealer—always nice to fill in a long answer like SPACEINVADERS without any crosses. The way that the different parts of the theme worked differently seemed a bit inelegant (circled letters which just form extra words, circled ET which gets skipped in cluing, unchecked S-A-F-E).

bAG before RAG. Sone fun indirections for 88D (although it was ”room” and not “art” which slowed me down here), and 63D (kept wanting non-palindromic things like kola) .Jim Kingdonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01857308320156877253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7869983234842507044.post-74757920604515697172016-07-25T22:30:00.759-04:002016-07-25T22:30:00.759-04:00Unusually fast for a Sunday. And then the cannon and the mothership and the laser are not removed from their words. It's a bit of a hot mess in my book. On the other hand, SPACEINVADERS right above ENHANCEMENT is pretty nice stacking.Colum Amoryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15026647589873845732noreply@blogger.com
