I thought it was fun to have a trick puzzle on a Wednesday, but the fill was made to suffer way to much for my liking. Even though I had SUBMERGES fairly early on, ...7:28<br />Even though I had SUBMERGES fairly early on, it took a while to figure out what to do with it. Part of the problem was having iMAC instead of EMAC. Ugh. I finally got it when I was forced to put DUES in at 10A and stared at it wondering why that meant "Puts down by force". Then I got it and the rest of the puzzle went relatively quickly. So the theme is good, but the rest of the puzzle is really really rough. NATGEO anyone? ENRAPT and ENBANC? ESSENES.
