That being said, I love all the "dark" answers, especially [DARK]NSTORMY.Colum Amoryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15026647589873845732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7869983234842507044.post-51475304781440048642020-01-02T14:16:59.825-05:002020-01-02T14:16:59.825-05:00Derp. I really do think it was more me than the puzzle today, and I'm glad you liked it.Horace Fawleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04676932991883111336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7869983234842507044.post-49062633437058343752020-01-02T14:09:00.371-05:002020-01-02T14:09:00.371-05:0016:00

I entered scareDOFTHE[DARK], but quickly corrected it when none of the first five crosses were working, especially ICU, which I knew must be correct. I didn't realize that a [DARK]NSTORMY wasn't spelled out with an "and" or an ampersand, but it's nice to learn something, especially about an alcoholic beverage. I'm not likely to use JAKE in a sentence, unless I'm referring to someone by name. CASK brings back nice memories of a recent trip to Sonoma. RESORB is fine, but I'm not a fan of the other questionable answers Horace mentions above. It was nice to see our old friend OATERS in the grid, even if it's a plural. Decent enough Thursday, and OK trick.Huygenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14539030936919012404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7869983234842507044.post-77403083726838190122020-01-02T14:05:30.636-05:002020-01-02T14:05:30.636-05:00Gee, I thought this was a really nice puzzle, Hora...Gee, I thought this was a really nice puzzle, Horace. I read [Guy in a suit] to mean "Guy in a *law* suit," if that helps any.

Thanks again for the blog, and Happy New Year!Kelly Clarkhttp://aldenclark.comnoreply@blogger.com
