I had STMARkS in the S for a bit, but luckily I noticed that kULELOGS was nonsense. I find ETRADE a bit expensive; I generally use Scotttrade. Anyway, I didn't even mind the foreign language stuff, since the crosses worked the words out, just as they should.Huygenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14539030936919012404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7869983234842507044.post-17745241991842926142015-03-13T19:19:41.309-04:002015-03-13T19:19:41.309-04:0021:24

Tried "NSA" for DOD, and guessed BREST early, but took that out too. Finally, I guess it was thinking of ESTADO-type things, and then GOODAT, and then, somehow, ANECDOTE came and it didn't take long after that. I had taken out ESTADO so many times that it was that final S that was the last thing I put in, and it took me maybe a full minute of trying to make something else that I recognized out of TARBOO_H before I did it. TARBOOSH. Hmph.

Enjoyed DARKAGES (20A: Unenlightened stretch), the "Tell me what you know!" pair, and the audacity of 32A: Pedal pusher (FOOT). So blatant, yet so tricksy! And since I work in a library setting, I smiled at TITLEPAGE (31D: Place for an imprint).

Yeah, a mixed bag, but I liked it more than I disliked it, too.Horace Fawleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04676932991883111336noreply@blogger.com
